My Music Experience
I absolutely love teaching, and I have a real passion for sharing the joy of music. Beginner, intermediate or advanced players are welcome. It’s never too early, or too late to start playing.
I’m currently based in London, studying jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. My musical journey began with classical piano lessons at age seven, progressing through all the grades alongside my schooling. At eighteen, I earned my ARSM Diploma with distinction.
I started playing jazz when I was twelve, participating in the NYJC Summer Schools and JJJA Saturday Music Program throughout my secondary school years.
I got my first gig playing piano at a wedding reception when I was twelve, and have since performed at a professional level in countless venues. I regularly perform live at a five-star hotel near Moorgate – you can watch a video of one of my performances here.
I also have arranging and transcription experience; one of my last performances at secondary school was a piano solo with orchestra, and I arranged all twenty-four orchestral parts myself.
Now that I’m living in Central London, I balance teaching and gigging with my studies at the Guildhall.
Piano Lessons
I am passionate about providing high-quality piano tuition for all levels, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced player. It’s never too early, or too late to start playing.
My teaching ethos is centred around creating a fun and relaxed environment where the joy of music can be shared. I can tailor our lessons to suit your individual needs – be that learning your favourite songs, working through the grades, or reigniting your passion for the instrument. With over five years of teaching experience, I can work with you to make your learning experience fun, relaxed and extremely effective.
Lessons are typically one hour, though half-hour options are also available. Almost all of my students have lessons on a weekly basis.

Transcription and Recording
Transcription:
I can transcribe music for you, making a bespoke arrangement of any tune you like, tailored to your specifications. Whether you need a transcription of a piece you can’t find the sheets for, or you’re a bandleader who needs charts for a cover song, I can produce excellent, extremely accurate notation of your selected piece of music. I operate on an hourly rate, and I’ll let you know in advance how long a project will take before I start. Contact me for enquiries.
Sessions and Recordings:
I have experience in both studio recording sessions and home recording. I have a Nord Stage 3 Keyboard and Logic Pro X, industry-standard pieces of equipment that allow me to record top-quality audio for your project remotely.
I’ve also worked in studio sessions before, so I’d be at home in the studio helping you bring your project to life in person. Contact me for enquiries.

I thoroughly enjoyed learning piano with Charlie, he was a skilled and patient instructor who taught me based on songs I actually wanted to learn and play which really helped to keep me motivated. Charlie would send me a video recapping what we learnt in our lessons afterwards which was helpful for when I was practicing at home, especially as I was fitting lessons around my full time job. The videos were great to refresh my memory about what we’d been learning. Lessons with Charlie were fun and engaging and never felt like a chore!
Charlie has a friendly positive style of tutoring. He is an accomplished talented pianist/tutor with a great deal of experience. He is an amazing professional tutor, he’s lessons are effective and engaging. Charlie is encouraging, inspiring and he has helped build my confidence and self esteem.
